Woods was asked recently “what have you been working on with your swing”? Woods replied that he was feeling golf through his hands. Focusing on controlling the club through his hands and trusting the swing. Knowing some days it will be off and others he’ll be feeling good. Great lesson, we get wrapped up in swing mechanics from pivot to keeping the left arm straight but ultimately it’s our hands that are connected to the club. Spend some time educating your hands!!
The season is just around the corner!!
How is your pre season coming along?
I had the pleasure of playing Formby Golf Club last month. In preparation for the season I will try to get some good rounds under my belt at different courses around the region. I will also mix it up with plenty of 6 to 9 holes at Lee Park. I transit from mostly technical work done in the winter on the range to more calibration and on course work. My focus is now to work with what I have. A great book on this subject is a book written by Adam Young, The Practise Manual. Formby was an absolute pleasure, a great test of golf steeped in history and as always in great condition. Lee Park is also holding up well considering the very wet winter we are having. The greens especially, absolute credit to John McMullen and his team.

Clinics

I also run monthly clinics from April to September 2024
Each clinic has a dedicated theme that I believe will have a positive impact and really improve your game and scoring this year.
Each clinic is limited to 6 to 8 pupils and will be 3 hours long. Time 5pm to 8pm.
